Assam OIL facility fire death toll reaches four

The death toll from the November 6 fire at an Oil India Ltd facility in Assam's Dibrugarh district rose to four on Sunday.

The state-owned company has suspended four personnel, including three officers, pending a high-level investigation into the maintenance accident.

Oil India Ltd announced an ex-gratia payment of ₹10 lakh to the families of each deceased and ₹5 lakh to the injured.
