Microsoft launched MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, an AI model designed to identify vulnerabilities in complex codebases, alongside a new security platform called Perception.

The company claims the model outperforms competitors like Gemini and GPT 5.5 on the Cyber Gym benchmark, with a production release scheduled for November 3.

Perception utilizes agentic red, blue, and green teams to automate security workflows, reducing manual remediation time from hours to minutes.
