A flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv made an emergency landing at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia after the co-pilot stabbed Captain Smit Machchar mid-air.
One passenger, Yaniv Hayoun, briefly took control of the aircraft while other passengers helped overpower the attacking Omani co-pilot, leaving 174 passengers uninjured.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the Indian pilot as a hero, while flydubai suspended its Dubai-Tel Aviv flights pending a full investigation.
