Former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir will be classified as an overseas player in the 2027 Pakistan Super League following his acquisition of British citizenship.
Amir, who played for Rawalpindiz in the 2026 season as a local player, now holds a British passport and is treated as a domestic cricketer in English competitions.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has yet to clarify how this reclassification will affect Amir's existing two-year contract with Rawalpindiz, which covers both the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
