Aadhaar Biometric Authentication Mandated For Subsidised LPG Refills From October

Domestic LPG consumers must complete biometric Aadhaar authentication by October 1 to book refills at regulated subsidised prices.

As of September 19, 27.43 crore active domestic consumers, or 89.9 per cent of the total, had finished the process.

Consumers who do not authenticate can still receive LPG at market price without subsidy through digital registration channels.
