Iran President Pezeshkian Says Country Will Never Bend the Knee

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told the UN General Assembly that Iran will never bend the knee after nearly seven months of war with the US and Israel, though it remains ready for diplomacy.

Pezeshkian insisted any deal must include an end to the US blockade preventing Iranian ships from using the Strait of Hormuz.

An attack on a cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday killed an Indian sailor, prompting condemnation from India's foreign ministry.
