HDFC Bank appoints Anup Bagchi as new MD and CEO

HDFC Bank has appointed Anup Bagchi as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for a three-year term beginning October 27, 2026, following RBI approval.

Bagchi will succeed Sashidhar Jagdishan, whose current tenure ends on October 26 before his retirement from the lender.

Bagchi currently serves as MD and CEO of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and brings over three decades of financial sector experience.
