Russian Missile Barrage Kills 13 in Kyiv

Russian ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv killed at least 13 people and wounded 33 on Thursday, causing widespread damage to residential buildings and industrial facilities.

The strikes hit the Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts, while a separate attack in the Brovary district resulted in one additional death and one injury.

Ukraine's parliament confirmed Yevhenii Khmara as the new defence minister in a 312-2 vote, filling the vacancy left by Mykhailo Fedorov amid ongoing wartime political tensions.
