Census 2027: Self-Enumeration Begins Monday in Ladakh and J&K

The second phase of Census 2027 commences on Monday with self-enumeration processes starting in Ladakh and snowbound regions of Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials clarified that no private data is being sought, and Aadhaar or mobile number details are optional for citizens during the digital collection process.

The government is addressing concerns regarding data safety while Anbumani Ramadoss has urged MPs to ensure official caste lists are included to prevent confusion.
