Four Italian members of the European Union Force in Bosnia were killed and 11 others injured on Thursday when a military helicopter crashed during a routine training operation in the Brcko region.
The Chinook CH-47 helicopter carried 15 people when it crashed about 180 kilometres north of Sarajevo, with three dying at the scene and a fourth succumbing to injuries at a hospital.
EUFOR is conducting a full investigation into the incident, which Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto addressed by extending personal condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers.
