A 16-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted on multiple occasions at the Crime Branch office in North Goa by a police inspector with the assistance of a woman.
Police registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the POCSO Act against inspector Vikas Deykar and accomplice Ranjini Palyekar following the victim's complaint.
Director general of police Alok Kumar stated that the department maintains a zero-tolerance policy and has initiated both legal and departmental action against the accused.
