Zelenskyy to Meet Trump Amid Converging Ukraine and Iran Conflicts

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is scheduled to meet US President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday to discuss potential new sanctions on Russia.

The proposed legislation includes 100 percent tariffs on goods from major Russian oil importers and potential new sanctions on Iran, following Ukraine's recent attack on an Iranian tanker.

Ukraine is currently on track to produce 6 to 7 million short-range attack drones this year, while the US Pentagon's $1.1 billion program expects to order 200,000 drones by February 2027.
