Nepal Flood Death Toll Rises to 1,344

The death toll from flash floods in Nepal reached 1,344 on Saturday, with rescue teams continuing search operations on the eleventh day following the disaster.

Nepal Police confirmed the recovery of 843 bodies, including 758 adults and 85 children, while 501 amputated bodies were also retrieved from the affected northern and central regions.

Authorities estimate 4,898 people remain missing after the August 26 ice-rock avalanche, with 1,030 bodies already managed through temporary burials following DNA collection protocols.
