The civil aviation ministry held its first Fog Preparedness meeting for the upcoming winter season, headed by civil aviation secretary Samir Kumar Sinha in New Delhi.
IMD officials stated that the fog season is expected to run from December 15 this year to February 15, 2027.
Stakeholders including AAI, DGCA, and airlines were directed to ensure low-visibility operational readiness and effective passenger communication during disruptions.
