The Broward County School District is considering closing or repurposing 10 schools as part of its 2026-2027 'Redefining our Schools' initiative.
The district reported 13,475 fewer students at the start of the year compared to 2025, representing a 5.6% decline in enrollment.
Collectively, the Broward and Miami-Dade school districts have lost 38,702 non-charter students between the 2023-2024 and 2025-2026 school years.
