Chembur police booked two self-proclaimed godmen, Rajshekhar Shastri and Guruji Adityanath, for allegedly cheating a 60-year-old woman of ₹69.30 lakh.
The accused collected ₹68 lakh in cash and a gold chain between June 2025 and June 2026 by promising to cure the victim's sister of cancer through special rituals.
A case was registered under the Maharashtra Black Magic Act after the victim realized she was cheated as her sister's medical condition deteriorated.
