Keralam Chief Minister VD Satheesan condemned the alleged imposition of Hindi at a National Commission for Women workshop in Faridabad after women legislators walked out in protest.
The walkout occurred because the programme was conducted largely in Hindi, with delegates facing intimidation and slogans such as Jai Shri Ram.
Satheesan asserted that forcing Hindi at a national conclave strikes at the core of India's constitutional compact and linguistic diversity.
