Chinese President Xi Jinping Arrives in New Delhi for BRICS Summit

Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in New Delhi on Saturday to participate in the 18th BRICS Summit, marking his first visit to Delhi since 2014.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet Mr. Xi later in the day to discuss bilateral trade and people-to-people relations amid ongoing border tensions.

The visit follows high-level diplomatic exchanges, including a Special Representative dialogue in Beijing between NSA Ajit Doval and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
