Pinarayi Vijayan files Kerala High Court appeal in CMRL-Exalogic pay-off case

Keralam Leader of the Opposition Pinarayi Vijayan filed an appeal before the Kerala High Court on Thursday, challenging a Single Judge order that directed an FIR against him and his relatives.

The Supreme Court had earlier stayed for seven days a Kerala Police investigation into the ₹2.78-crore pay-off case involving Mr. Vijayan, his daughter T. Veena, and son-in-law P.A. Mohamed Riyas.

The Kerala High Court is likely to consider Mr. Vijayan's plea on Saturday, following a Division Bench's earlier decision denying leave to appeal against the October 9 order.
