Two Workers Killed in Fire at Uttar Pradesh Tyre Oil Factory

Two unidentified workers died on Monday evening after a fire broke out at the Om JVRD tyre oil factory near Jariha village in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur Dehat.

The victims were on a nearly 30-foot-high tank loading tyres into a chamber when the blaze erupted at around 5.30 pm, causing them to fall after being trapped.

Four other workers and a tanker driver escaped safely while Chief Fire Officer Prateek Srivastava deployed six fire tenders to control the blaze within 40 minutes.
