Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis responded positively to Telangana's request to reconsider increasing the height of the Tummidihatti barrage across the Pranahita river.
A delegation led by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met in Mumbai to discuss raising the barrage height from 148 metres to 152 metres to meet irrigation needs.
Fadnavis proposed forming a joint committee of irrigation officials from both states to examine the feasibility, water availability, and submergence implications.
