Students marched toward the Vidhan Sabha in Ranchi on Monday to protest alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC examinations after a sixth round of talks with the government failed.
Authorities imposed Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita within a 750-metre radius of the assembly, while the Enforcement Directorate has launched a money laundering probe into the JPSC exam process.
Protesters demand a CBI investigation, the cancellation of exams conducted after 2019, and the implementation of a recruitment calendar similar to the UPSC and SSC models.
