Tamil Nadu CM Vijay Clarifies Academic Event Not Political After Court Remarks

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and TVK chief C. Joseph Vijay stated that an annual event in Chennai honoring Class X and XII school toppers was strictly academic and not political outreach.

The clarification followed strong observations by the Madras High Court criticizing the use of children in political campaigns as being in bad taste.

Vijay urged students to focus on their studies and avoid addiction, while TVK spokesperson M. Sathya Kumar confirmed the party is consciously following court orders.
