Google is updating Ask Maps with Gemini-powered features that allow users to place food orders, compare hotel prices, and discover local events through conversational prompts.
The food ordering feature is launching in the United States with partners Square and Toast, while Uber Eats support is expected to be added to the platform later.
Users can optionally link their Gmail accounts to provide the AI with personal travel data, such as flight and hotel reservations, to receive context-aware recommendations and transit updates.
