Teenager arrested in Illinois for plotting attack on Hindu place of worship

Alexandros Paporakis, 19, was arrested in Illinois on October 11 for plotting a mass shooting potentially targeting a Hindu place of worship in the Aurora area.

Authorities executing a search warrant recovered a rifle, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, and a manifesto containing white supremacist ideologies.

Paporakis appeared for a detention hearing on Wednesday where a judge ordered him detained, with his next court appearance scheduled for October 30.
