At least four people were killed and several others injured in a multi-hour gunfight between rival armed groups in Manipur’s Noney district on Wednesday.
The clashes in Taodaijang village involved factions of the Zeliangrong United Front and the National Socialist Council of Nagalim.
The Committee on Tribal Unity extended its shutdown in Kangpokpi district by 48 hours following separate protests.
