Indian Pilot Smit Machchhar Hospitalised in Saudi Arabia After Preventing Mid-Air Hijack

Captain Smit Machchhar successfully fought off his co-pilot who attempted to crash a flydubai flight carrying 174 people from Dubai to Tel Aviv, resulting in a flight diversion to Saudi Arabia's Tabuk.

Covered in blood on the cockpit floor, Machchhar activated the door release, allowing passengers, crew, and two off-duty flydubai pilots to overpower the co-pilot and land safely.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised Captain Machchhar's extraordinary bravery and presence of mind for averting a catastrophic disaster.
