The United Forum of Bank Unions deferred its proposed three-day nationwide strike from September 28 to 30 following a late-night meeting with the Indian Banks' Association on Sunday.
The talks addressed long-pending demands, including making all Saturdays holidays and reviewing the Performance Linked Incentive scheme for Scale IV and above officers.
A high-level committee comprising IBA and union representatives will be formed to evaluate options for a five-day banking week and other pending matters.
