Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad candidate Yash Dabas won the Delhi University Students' Union presidential election on Saturday, securing 24,576 votes and defeating NSUI's Vijai Shankar Meena by 2,053 votes.
Dabas, an international-level tennis player who has represented Delhi University in national and international events, is pursuing a Master of Arts in Buddhist Studies and has been associated with ABVP since 2021.
Following his victory, Dabas stated that his first priority would be conducting a safety audit of college hostels and PGs, while demanding justice for students impacted by the Satya Niketan incident.
