18th IDSFFK Begins in Thiruvananthapuram Amid Censorship Concerns

The 18th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Keralam opened in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday under uncertainty regarding 31 films denied censor exemptions by the Union I&B Ministry.

Cultural Affairs Minister P.C. Vishnunadh stated that the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy is pursuing legal measures to secure screening permissions for the withheld films.

Mehrdad Oskouei's documentary 'A Fox Under a Pink Moon' served as the opening film of the festival.
