India Holds Over 80 Days Of Fuel Reserves, Says Minister Hardeep Puri

Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri stated that India maintains storage capacity and fuel reserves sufficient to meet more than 80 days of domestic energy requirements.

The energy security framework comprises expanded refining infrastructure, import terminals, and strategic petroleum reserves across the country.

Puri noted that India ranks as the world's third-largest energy consumer and fourth-largest refining center while speaking at the curtain raiser for India Energy Week 2027 in Kolkata.
