The Uttarakhand High Court directed authorities to complete vote counting for municipal elections in Kichha and Sirauli Kalan within three weeks.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta and Justice Subhash Upadhyay heard petitions challenging the state government's deferment of counting.
The state had previously sought additional time citing law and order concerns following booth disturbances during the September 22 polls.
