India's Dhiraj Bommadevara set an Asian Games qualification record in men's recurve archery by scoring 698 points out of 720 to top the standings on Saturday.
Dhiraj bettered the previous record of 690 set by South Korea's Lee Woo Seok, earning a direct bye into the second round of the individual elimination draw.
In the women's compound section, 21-year-old Chikitha Taniparthi topped the individual qualification with 705 points, helping India secure the second seed in the team event.
