Scottsdale School District Reviews Four Campuses for Closure

The Scottsdale Unified School District is evaluating Laguna, Redfield, Desert Canyon, and Copper Ridge schools for potential closure at the end of the current school year.

Superintendent Scott Menzel announced that the board will discuss the closures on September 8, with a final decision expected by October 6 or October 27.

The district previously closed Echo Canyon School in May due to declining enrollment, and families at the four schools under review will receive information by mail next week.
