Dolores Huerta, the prominent U.S. labour leader who co-founded United Farm Workers with Cesar Chavez, has died at the age of 96 from cancer in Los Angeles.
Huerta served as the union's vice president for nearly four decades, organising strikes that improved working conditions for millions of agricultural labourers.
Tributes poured in from figures including former President Bill Clinton and California Governor Gavin Newsom, who ordered flags flown at half-staff.
