The National Stock Exchange will revise its 15-minute pre-open session rules starting September 7, 2026, to align with the new Closing Auction Session mechanism.

The session will now be split into phases: 9:00-9:05 AM for all orders, 9:05-9:10 AM for limit orders only, and 9:10-9:12 AM for order matching.

These changes apply to all equity securities, including SME shares, InvITs, and REITs, aiming to improve price discovery transparency in the cash market.
