Users of the newly launched iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max have reported freezing issues followed by sudden automatic restarts after failed Face ID authentication attempts.
Apple has acknowledged the software glitch and is reportedly preparing a corrective iOS 27 update for release as early as next week.
Although the Face ID sensors were relocated beneath the screen in the latest models, reports indicate the malfunction is software-related rather than a hardware defect.
