NATO Fighter Jets Shoot Down Drone Over Lithuanian Airspace

NATO fighter jets shot down a drone that entered Lithuanian airspace, President Gitanas Nauseda announced on Tuesday.

The drone crashed in a rural area near Lake Kaunas in the country's central region, according to the National Crisis Management Center.

Baltic states regularly report drone incursions amid Russia's war with Ukraine, with previous NATO interceptions occurring over Estonia in May 2026.
