VVS Laxman Likely to Become BCCI's First Director of Cricket

VVS Laxman is expected to be appointed as the BCCI's first Director of Cricket as the board prepares for a potential leadership reshuffle in September.

The proposed role would expand Laxman's current responsibilities at the Bengaluru-based Centre of Excellence to include coordinating senior team operations, coaching, and player pathways.

The move coincides with the upcoming expiration of Ajit Agarkar's term as chairman of the senior selection committee, which is currently scheduled to end in September.
