LIC and New India Assurance veterans appointed as IRDAI members

The Indian government appointed LIC Managing Director Dinesh Pant and former New India Assurance CMD Girija Subramanian as members of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India.

Pant joins the insurance regulator as Member (Actuary) following the government's approval of his voluntary retirement from LIC, bringing industry actuarial experience.

Subramanian was appointed as Whole-Time Member (Distribution) to oversee the expansion of insurance coverage and development of distribution channels across domestic and international businesses.
