Rajinikanth's action sequel Jailer 2 hauled ₹317.20 crore net domestically in its first week after releasing in theatres on October 15.
The film collected a net of ₹28.15 crore in India on Wednesday across 14,438 shows with an occupancy rate of 33.7%.
The sequel has already surpassed the lifetime net collections of the highest-grossing Tamil films from the preceding two years.
