Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated 118 km of new rail sections on Saturday.
The inauguration included the 65 km Rewa-Churhat section, connecting Sidhi district to the railway network for the first time since India's independence.
The infrastructure expansion aims to improve passenger travel, boost Vindhya region tourism, and support industrial freight movement.
