A 21-year-old man named Hemanth brutally attacked a 15-year-old Class 10 student with a chainsaw inside her government school classroom in Anantapur on Saturday morning.
Police revealed the attacker is the victim's maternal uncle, who had allegedly been harassing her in the name of love prior to the incident.
Following initial treatment and surgery at Anantapur government hospital, the critically injured girl was shifted in a special ambulance via a green channel to a super speciality hospital in Bengaluru.
