Rajnath Singh urges Indian shipyards to secure international orders

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated on Tuesday that Indian shipyards must compete for orders from friendly foreign nations rather than building solely for domestic needs.

Singh made the remarks at Hindustan Shipyard Limited in Visakhapatnam during the launch of the Indian Navy's first indigenous Fleet Support Ship.

The government aims to build Visakhapatnam into an integrated maritime industrial hub and transform India into a major global maritime power.
