At least 14 newborn babies died after a massive fire broke out in the gynaecology ward of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad.
Witnesses reported that thick black smoke filled the ward, and families alleged that emergency exits were locked, preventing timely evacuation of the infants.
