Land Acquisition for High-Speed Rail Without Requisition Illegal

Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy stated that land acquisition for the Hyderabad-Chennai, Bengaluru, and Pune high-speed rail corridors without official requisitions is illegal.

Following a meeting with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Reddy confirmed that no requisitions have been sent to state governments as alignment studies are ongoing.

Authorities will share project details with respective state administrations and farmers only after the final alignments are officially determined.
