The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued an advisory instructing food business operators to transport perishable items under controlled temperatures.
The regulator emphasized that items such as khoa, paneer, meat, and fish are highly susceptible to microbial growth and spoilage if subjected to temperature abuse.
State food safety commissioners and inspection authorities were directed to maintain strict vigilance and take legal action, including product seizures, for non-compliance.
