Nepal Flood Death Toll Rises to 1,355

The death toll from flash floods in Nepal reached 1,355 by Monday, September 7, 2026, as rescue teams continue searching for 4,996 missing persons.

Authorities confirmed that 13,396 people have been rescued, while the missing count includes at least 589 foreign nationals across the affected northern and central districts.

Triggered by an ice-rock avalanche on August 26, the disaster has also claimed 21 lives in Tibet, where over 500 people remain missing according to Chinese reports.
