Nvidia is investing $3.5 billion into Taiwanese chipmaker MediaTek to integrate Nvidia’s NVLink Fusion technology into custom AI chips designed for data centers and hyperscalers.
MediaTek, which expects its custom data center ASIC business to generate $2 billion in revenue in 2026, will use the partnership to standardize rack-scale infrastructure for its customers.
The companies will also continue collaborating on the DGX Spark developer computer, RTX Spark for consumer AI PCs, and Nvidia Drive AGX platforms for software-defined vehicles.
