Debutants Kajal Dhochak and Neelam Sirohi advanced to the gold medal bouts at the World Wrestling Championships on Tuesday, marking the first time two Indian women reached the final at the same edition.
Neelam Sirohi defeated Kazakhstan's Zeinep Bayanova 7-3 in the 50kg category to set up a title clash against Yui Susaki, while 18-year-old Kajal Dhochak overcame a 1-7 deficit to beat Aiperi Medet Kyzy 10-7 in the 76kg semifinal.
Both wrestlers previously failed to secure places in the Indian squad for the Asian Games after losing their final trial bouts.
